The Restoration Art Center in Pflugerville

This is one of MP's newest additions! Construction began last spring with a team from Grace Covenant Church and is nearly complete... Bill and Shelley Schreyer have lived in Pflugerville off Dessau Rd. for over 25 years. A few years ago, Shelley started a Wednesday Afterschool Bible Club for elementary aged children in her neighborhood that now meets in the Restoration Art Center. The Restoration Art Center also houses a Thursday afternoon art class for home-schoolers around the city. The children are studying Art from a biblical, other-centered perspective. On Friday is an art class for the neighborhood Middle Schoolers called Art Club. Many have noticed a migration to the Pflugerville area from Austin's eastside, as residents are priced out of their neighborhoods by gentrification. This Art Center is a place for followers of Christ in Austin to connect with children who desperately need Restoration in relationship to their heavenly Father.
