Fuze Youth Program

FUZE Youth Program in East Austin for Middle and High School Students

Children and teens living in East Austin face countless obstacles.

The average life expectancy for people living in East Austin is nearly 20 years less than those across I-35. Meanwhile, 86% of homes qualify as either “very low” or “low-to-moderate” income.

Teens in these low-income communities lack adequate education, resources, and opportunities that empower them to succeed.

Let’s break the cycle with FUZE.

FUZE is our youth program that empowers at-risk preteens and teenagers with mentorship, guidance, and encouragement in their relationship with Christ.

Equipping Teens with Tools to Succeed with FUZE Youth Group

FUZE youth group gives young men and women structure. They have something to look forward to every Wednesday from 6 PM to 8 PM throughout the school year.

Research shows commitment to afterschool programs can improve a teen’s grades and keep them on Christ’s path.

A  Night at Fuze

First, everyone at FUZE eats dinner together.

Next, we play games, hold a Bible lesson, and end with group discussion and prayer.

MP strives to teach Christian principles to teens in the East Austin community. The right attitude empowers them to tackle life’s major challenges head-on.

Volunteer Opportunities

Are You Ready To Make A Difference? Want to change the lives of teens in East Austin for the better? MP needs your help!

Offer Guidance as a FUZE Mentor

After becoming a FUZE Leader, many of our volunteers desire more one-on-one time with our students for an even greater impact. Becoming a FUZE Mentor allows you to fill a direct role impacting a young man or woman’s life. As a FUZE Mentor, Mission Possible pairs you with one FUZE Student for two full years of discipleship. You’ll become like family to each other. Being a part of each other’s lives to help guide them towards a Christ-centered lifestyle.

What better way to live out the Gospel?

Become a FUZE Leader

FUZE Leaders play an active role in facilitating the Wednesday night youth group. You’ll participate in activities, lead discussions, and help distribute dinner. Each FUZE Leader commits to Wednesday evenings for at least a full school year: two semesters.

Keep FUZE Equipped and Running

Healthy meals are critical to supporting education and success. FUZE feeds up to 40 kids every week during an average school year. Teenagers can eat a lot of food!

MP spends about $150 per student on meals throughout the school year.

  • Help us provide wholesome meals with donations or gift cards from Sam’s Club or HEB.
  • FUZE also needs plenty of supplies throughout the year: sports balls, school supplies, Bibles, and Bible resources.

Your support keeps our supplies plentiful so MP can keep FUZE running and expand.

Be part of the solution with Mission Possible

East Austin’s teens rely on Mission: Possible! for structure. We rely on your donations to keep running. Your $150 donation could supply food for an entire school year to a student just like Kevin.
