CUB Frequently Asked Questions
What is a “lead church”?
A lead church is a local church that is responsible for the various logistical needs on a given Sunday of the month. Currently, the participating lead churches are responsible for setting up for the service, preparing the lunch meal, providing a praise band (if possible), and tearing down and cleaning up after the service. This is a significant monthly responsibility and that is where the many other participating churches come in. There are approximately 10-15 churches that partner with the various “lead churches” on their Sunday to help fill in the gaps for that week. In addition, there are another 20-25 churches that come throughout the year to volunteer their time or get hands on experience with street ministry.
How is Church Under the Bridge Funded?
The CUB is a ministry of Mission: Possible! Austin and its funding is tied directly to the funding of the organization. CUB has many financial needs for the continuation of weekly services. Mission: Possible! and CUB depend heavily on the donations of our volunteers and those who share our vision for the city.
